The Kelmscott Agricultural Society is introducing the Young Farmers Challenge as part of the 2022 Kelmscott Agricultural Show. The Young Farmers Challenge is a national competition, with rounds held at Local, State and National levels. The winning team in the 18 – 35 year old class will qualify for the state round held at the following Perth Royal Show.
You don’t need to be a farmer or have a farming background to compete. The challenges are designed for anyone to be able to complete, so long as you are working as a team.

There will be 7 challenges at the Kelmscott Agricultural Show. The following is a list of potential challenge of which the 7 will be chosen from:
- Treating a first aid injury
- Collecting items
- Driving a tractor
- Packing fruit/veg
- Building a wire fence
- Fire fighting
- Transferring water
- Pipe fitting
- Team work
- Lead an alpaca
- Milking a cow
